🌱🌷Getting our hands dirty and loving it! 💓🌿 This week we repotted donated plants at the Katikati Resource Recovery Centre — giving them a second chance and the hope of a new home. Thanks for supporting our mahi and helping us grow, one plant at a time! 💚

🤝🔋♻️ Colin and Frank teamed up this week to sort through a big pile of old TV remotes, carefully removing all the batteries. 🔋✅ Old batteries need to be recycled properly — if left inside devices, they can become a major fire risk at landfills and resource centres across the country. Our Chrome Crew is working hard behind the scenes to help keep our environment (and community) safe. ♻️🔥👏

This week was all about teamwork! 💪 The Chrome Crew jumped in to tackle a big task — sorting through hundreds of nails. We filled jars, weighed and priced them, and now they’re all prepped and ready for the shop shelves! 🏷️🛒

It was a massive job, but with everyone pitching in, we made it happen. Great work team — your effort, focus, and teamwork really shine! 🌟

This week at Chrome Collective, our crew had a hands-on learning opportunity — weighing donated items! Each person had a turn using the scales, carefully noting the weight, and adding it to our spreadsheet. ✅

It's all part of our ongoing work readiness training — building confidence with numbers, learning new skills, and having fun doing it! 💪📊

At Chrome, part of our work readiness training includes learning how to dismantle items to recover precious metals — and understanding why we do it. It’s not just about pulling things apart; it’s about learning where it all goes, the value it holds, and how it helps our planet.
