Kia Ora whanau. It's been a long time since I've been on here. I think it's time I get someone to manage our page. For now I am letting everyone know of our up and coming AGM.

Everyone and anyone is most welcome to attend. Come and meet the people that have cared for those in our community and surrounding districts for 34 years. If you think you can make a difference and want to become a part of an amazing team, come along.

Tena koutou katoa, Just an update for the Xmas and New Year period. Taumarere Counselling Services Inc, will be closing down for the year on the 23rd December 2022 to the 9th January 2023.

There will be a Counselor on call during that period for emergency calls only.

We have an effective and confidential service to support the emotional and mental well-being of our callers and communities.

Kia ora everyone, Arohamai for the slow update on the service. We are still running and will be here to cater for your needs. We will be doing face to face counselling for both vaxed and unvaxed, but there are simple rules to adhere to. There are simple rules to adhere to. Sanitize, Mask and Distance. If you are unwell, please stay at home contact your doctor.

Our offices in Paihia, Kerikeri, Kaikohe and Kawakawa are not manned everyday. You will need to ring 0800456999 to set up an appointment first. I will delegate a counselor that is appropriate to aide your needs.

vaccination kaupapa. To those of you that are confused and don't have access to, or do not understand how to get your vaccine passes to download and print them out. I will help.

I will do this for free, but please understand that this is not my job description, i am volunteering to do this. I work in Kawakawa but can help those in the Moerewa Paihia Area surrounding. Call me: 0800456999

Hello everyone! I am just putting this out there. After 25 years, we lost our Paihia Office to Covid-19, back in March and moved into a temporary arrangement. This is about to expire in November 2020. If you know of rooms we could hire in Paihia, Waitangi or Opua for at least 2-3 days a week, from 9am to 5pm. I would be greatful. Looking at long term.

Tena koutou katoa,

Thanks and appreciation to all our staff, for your dedication and commitment in providing this service to our people in need. I would like to start off by acknowledging the creation of TCS back in July 1990. 30 years ago, it is unbelievable as I write this, of how long we have remained operational. The commitment, determination and dedication from our staff to keep this service running because we believed there was a need for this service in our area that would meet the needs of our people.

To our long standing staff members, our Matriarch Lee Davey one of our Founders, 30 years of service, Maria Eisel-Klee and Alison Ututaonga-Owen 29 years and Doug Mckenzie and Jenny McGee well over 25 years, with Shelly Jessop over 6 years. Thank you all for your amazing support and team work.

Thank you to Maureen Woodcock, whom has retired from supervising our counsellors, but continues to keep us up to the play with her training workshops in Art Therapy. Maureen I believe is another of our Matriarchs. She was one of the first trainees when TCS first began.

We have our other voluntary staff members to thank that have also been committed to our service for a number of years. To our Advisory Board members, Ned Peita, Maria Klee and Kelly Stratford, it is always a blessing knowing that you are there to support us when called upon. To Mahendra Kumar Bhikha and his family, thank you for the support you have given all these years in allowing us to work from your rooms. Our special Maintenance/Building Officer, John Owen: We are ever so grateful for all the hard work you put in to helping our service keep rolling. From moving offices and furniture twice over and setting up the new rooms in Kawakawa, fixing doors, spotlights, hanging curtains and a lot of other things. Thank you
