First day of spring today in NZ so 2 of my boys and I went up the river for a fish and obviously I have to harvest.
I have a client coming tomorrow and so I needed to source some bits for her.
What I did harvest was Angiangi (usnea), cleavers, Flax roots, gorse flowers, mingimingi, water bergamot, Kanuka.

2 Of my 4 boys and myself have been extremely sick for the last 2 weeks. It is incredibly hard as a solo mum to look after your kids when you are also very sick and you dont want to get extended family sick. I noticed this morning that my lymph nodes in my neck were really swollen so along with Mullein I started some Cleaver tea to help with draining them.
It is the perfect time of year to be foraging for cleavers (I have it in my garden so didn't need to go out)

What a great first market for me. I enjoyed getting out there!
A huge thank you to my Sister Dana for making it look great, the amazing flyers and for encouraging me to go up and talk to people. And another huge thank you to Cassie my side kick for all your help, you were great at greeting people and you are like a Sponge learning all about everything. I even made money! I look forward to the next one..
