I’ve had many challenges in my life but I know they have all brought me to this point; having my own aromatherapy company - Belladora Aromatherapy (Belladora is my middle name which means beautiful gift in Italian). I’ve weathered learning difficulties and bullying at school; got a hard-earned Social Work degree that I discovered was not my calling; faced into mental health issues and weathered the broken system that labels and medicates routinely. It didn’t help me and nor did hanging with the wrong crowd of people. But boy did I learn a lot about myself along the way. Then nearly 5 years ago my life changed; I developed chronic cystitis (a condition that runs in my family), next was the diagnosis of endometriosis and surgery last year to excise it. Later came fibromyalgia. I have tried EVERYTHING and the battle to be listened to, understood and not judged was immense. I was told my pain was all in my head, particularly when they saw the mental health issues on my records. Fortunately my family stood beside me throughout. Then, in amongst all of this, I found aromatherapy and a world of healing opened up to me. I just knew this was what I had to do. Following surgery, my pain was better and I completed 200 hours to become a qualified aromatherapist. I’m currently studying massage with a very experienced and highly-skilled family friend, who has been doing massage for years. Studying for these qualifications has changed my life and I want to offer these treatments to women who have autoimmune conditions and mental health issues, like myself. Thursday - closed - today is making products but I can process orders. Friday - closed - today is a study day or massage study day. Saturday - closed
