Not everyone is having a merry Christmas.

Some are grieving.
Some are navigating illness, recovery, or deep exhaustion.
Some are carrying financial stress, family strain, or a quiet loneliness.

If this season feels heavy for you, I want you to know this.
I see you. I feel you. 🤗

It is okay if joy feels distant right now.
It is okay to feel the sadness, the anger, the numbness, the longing.

You don’t need to shoulder all the load by yourself.
You do not need to show up a certain way if it does not feel right for you this season.
You are allowed to soften, to step back, to honour what is true for you. ✨

There is space here for honesty.
There is space for rest.
There is space to be alongside others who understand and uplift without fixing.

Today, let yourself be exactly where you are.
That is enough.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to reflect on how deeply illness can impact not just our health, but our energy, confidence, and relationships.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, I expected treatment to be the hardest part. What I didn’t expect was how difficult life after treatment would feel — learning to trust my body again, returning to work, and managing the fear and fatigue that lingered.

This talk is my way of giving back to others walking a similar path. I’ll be sharing three powerful practices that supported my recovery and helped me find balance and confidence again.

Myth: Once treatment is done, you’re cured and everything goes back to normal.
Truth: Recovery is just beginning.

No one told me this at the start of my journey but it’s something every woman deserves to hear.

Finishing treatment doesn’t mean you bounce back overnight. The body takes time to heal. Symptoms often linger until we learn how to support ourselves with new habits and lifestyle changes.

“Normal” isn’t the goal. Redesigning your life moving forward is the key.

It’s not your fault you had breast cancer

It’s so easy to blame ourselves for a diagnosis this big.

Breast cancer can feel traumatic — we tend to hide, shrink away, and even feel ashamed to acknowledge it out loud.

But seriously and hear it from me: shame doesn’t help us heal.

It stops us from moving forward, from creating the hope, confidence, and peace we deserve.

When my treatment ended, I thought there would be confetti. 🎉 I thought life would go “back to normal.”

But I was so wrong.

That was when recovery really began and I was left sitting in anxiety, fear, and uncertainty about the future.

Ten years later, I now help women navigate that messy middle - the space between surviving and truly thriving. Because you don’t have to do it alone.

Surviving breast cancer is NOT the finish line.

It’s a milestone, yes, but not the end of your story. Thriving means calming your nervous system, stabilising your energy, and learning to feel safe in your body again.

Without this, many women stay stuck in exhaustion, fear of recurrence, or decision fatigue.
