I find this fascinating..

A year-long study of the Hadza Hunter-Gatherers in Tanzania showed that certain gut microbes disappear in one season, only to reappear in the next.

These seasonal rhythms are far less common in industrialized populations, where diets are more uniform, and most likely to be a lot more processed too.

What's the takeaway?
Nourish your gut-biome by staying as close to nature as possible, eating foods in season. Ideally organic or spray-free where possible.

Not-To-Do List 🌻

Today I will not race the clock,
nor measure my worth by how much I do.

I will not carry the weight
of other people’s “shoulds.”

I will not open the door
to comparison,
nor invite perfection in for tea.

I will not apologize
for breathing at a gentler pace.

I will not let noise
drown out the small voice
that whispers what truly matters.

Instead, I will leave space,
a clearing in the day,

Here's some more information on purple foods. This time, it's prunes AKA dried plums! Just 4–6 prunes a day (~50 g) were used in a year-long study that helped maintain bone strength in postmenopausal women.

But prunes aren’t just about bones. Here are some other nutritional tidbits to note:
- Fiber (~7 g per 100 g) → supports regularity
- Potassium & vit K → key for heart and bone health
- Polyphenols (chlorogenic acids) → natural plant compounds with antioxidant activity

FODMAP tip:
Prunes are naturally rich in sorbitol, a type of carbohydrate that can be a digestive trigger for some. Start small (2–3) and see how your body feels.

Nature certainly packs a lot into these little purple powerhouses!

Grief is not something that can be measured… 😔

Give yourself permission to grieve exactly as you need to, in your own time and in your own way.

Grief is not something that can be measured or compared, and there is no single path you must follow. Some days the weight may feel unbearable, while on others you may find a small moment of peace and both are part of the journey.

There may be times you want to talk, and times you need silence; times you seek comfort from others, and times you simply need to be alone. However it unfolds for you is valid, because there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

This is your process, and allowing yourself to feel what you feel, without judgment, is an act of courage and love.
