Due to a sickness outbreak, we are closing at 3pm today as we have a kaimahi (Staff) shortage.

⭐️Pēpi Ora ki Kawakawa (Feilding) will be at Feilding Health this Wednesday 18th June. ⭐️Kaupapa: Matariki utalising uku (clay) to create a taongā incorporating new moemoea, reflecting on the past year, what we need to release, lesson learnt, celebrating your successes, self manakitanga. ⭐️Pukapuka & waiata session with some preparation for our session at the Feilding Library.

💜🩵We are at Aorangi Marae tomorrow all our hapū wahine, whanau support & matua with young tamariki are encouraged to come!
💜🩵Tomorrow will be doing some mahi raranga, Ripai one of our Māmā will be sharing & teaching her frybread recipe + chocolate + ice cream for lunch😋🥰

💜💜Our Pēpi Ora matua (parents) came up with a collective moemoea to learn more te reo Māori alongside their pēpi & tamariki by reading Māori pukapuka & waiata. Which has lead to facilitating a Te Reo Māori Pukapuka & Waiata session at our newly renovated Āhuru Mōwai (Manawatu Community Hub Libraries).
🌿1. To promote our Reo Māori in our local community spaces.
🌿2. To promote our rōpū Pēpi Ora to our Manawatu community.

💜💜Thankful to Hapaitia Kohanga Reo for lending us some Māori pukapuka to use.

💜💜Thankful to one of our Kuia who will be our guitarists for our waiata.

💜💜Kauwhata MWWL members who have offered to support our kaupapa through waiata & coming to read a pukapuka

💜💜Also to our matua who have been making poi, sewing props for our waiata & stepping out of their comfort zone to read a pukapuka & teach a waiata.

💜💜To our kaumatua who will join us to read to their mokopuna.

💚💚Whanau who want to participate, tautoko nau mai haere mai!🥰

🩵🩵We will be in the kid's area at the Feilding Library next Friday 27th June 10am - 11am
⭐️Dress up: Matariki theme will have a little photo booth.

💚💚The intention is to facilitate this kaupapa on the last Friday of each month.

🌿Mauri Ora whanau Lisa & Jojo will be taking our Pēpi Ora rōpū in Feilding tomorrow we have Te Whakaotinga coming in to do Taongā Puorō.

🌿Important fact in regard to the Porotiti the vibrational mauri can help with deep breathing, stress release & if played over the chest of our pēpi or yourself it can break up the phlegm when our tamariki get sick.

💚Te Whakaotinga is a kai rogoā, tohunga whakairo. (Māori carver) from Nga Kaitiaki o Ngāti Kauwhata.
