We are the largest saw sharpening operation in the lower North Island. We put huge value on providing customers with saw and blade sharpening services to the highest quality workmanship. We work with customers across many different industries including plastics, metal, printing, timber and joinery.
We pride ourselves for being at the cutting edge of this industry ensuring our team are experts in using the most up to date machinery and technology to provide superior cuts on all blades.
What will your week involve?
- Learn from and assist our Saw Doctors carrying out a variety of tasks in different departments of the workshop, gaining knowledge and skill to work independently in these departments.
- General cleaning duties
- Maintain mechanical parts of a range of production machines under the guidance of a qualified Saw Doctor.
- Learn to Sharpen, repair, remove and replace saws and blades to a high quality, under the guidance of a Saw Doctor.
- Be enrolled and actively learning for an apprenticeship in Saw Doctoring to ensure yearly progression leading to the award of a suitable qualification in Saw Doctoring.
