We hope you have had a beautiful start to the year. Today was our first day back for 2026. We started off with setting some goals:

1. Use te reo Māori more consistently.
2. Increase our social media presence.
3. Compose a waiata together.

Writing your goals down creates road maps for your subconscious. If you haven't already, I encourage you to write 3 goals down for the year.

We have now finished up the year!

It was just over a year ago that I took a leap of faith and decided to make Rongoā Māori my full time career, and what a year it has been.

3 achievements this year:

1. Started out doing one day a week in clinic and have now increased to four days a week.
2. Ran my first Rongoā workshop.
3. Brang on another kaimirimiri.

It has been a year of real growth and I look forward to what 2025 has to bring. I would like to thank everyone that has supported our small business in any shape or form, we appreciate you.

We will take a break for two weeks and will be back Tuesday 7th of January. Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday x

I am very excited to introduce Trena who will be joining our team as kaimirimiri. It is a real privilege to have her on board and I look forward to doing mahi together and growing our team! 💚

Here are a few words from Trena:

“Mauri ora ki a tātou! Ko Trenamarie Netana-Peleti ahau.
Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa, Ngā Puhi, Den Haag.

Growing up my Dad played rugby league and he would often get me to rub the haematoma out of his body. During this time he would teach and share with me what he had learnt from his Nan and whānau in Taupo.

I have had other successful career paths along the way, but have always practiced mirimiri through the years. I am very excited to now be able to commit time to this space once again.

I am passionate about wairua, fitness, hauora and nurturing one’s ability to self-heal. I get the biggest buzz watching whānau grow and achieve their hauora and wellness goals, especially when they go on to hype up their own whānau to do the same. This to me is everything 🙏”
