With the onslaught of the winter months, viruses and illnesses are rife in the community. To help keep our staff, patients, and whanau safe, we still require RAT testing prior to entering our premises if you have cough and cold symptoms.

If you are unsure how to administer a RAT test, please watch the video below.

WHOOPING COUGH (PERTUSSIS)

With active cases of whooping cough in our communities, it is important to ensure we are up to date with vaccinations.

Immunisation is free and is given when the baby is 6 weeks, 3 months and 5 months old, with childhood boosters at 4 years and 11 years old.

The best start for baby's immunity is during pregnancy. Close family members can also be vaccinated to help protect babies.
