Self care is a term often used - but what does it actually mean ?
Self-care is defined as the practice of taking care of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of your life to promote health and wellness. According to the World Health Organization, it is the ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness, with or without the support of a healthcare provider. In essence, self-care encompasses what people do for themselves to establish and maintain health and to prevent and deal with
illness.
Self care is unique to the individual- your self care will be different to your friends for example, though there maybe commonalities.
Consider your self care and how can that be elevated over the next weeks and months?
