Sad to learn of the passing of a truly great and humble man - Ravi Zacharias. While Ravi had a tremendous intellect and ability to think deeply on metaphysical realities, his special super-power was being able to relate those Truths and knowledge in an infectious and easy to grasp manner. He will be sorely missed. May Ravi's soul rest in eternal peace and joy - with The Truth Himself.

Exiting your business is inevitable (voluntarily or involuntarily). I'd not be surpised if the following excuses, are favoured by male business owners. I say so sincerely, because as I sense that many men place a lot of emphasis on their role as a "provider" they use it as a licence to neglect the other important aspects of their being & inherent value.

What business and personal objectives do you want to realise?

For most it is (and usually prerequisite to all others) financial security.

Sad thing though is that most owners do absolutely nothing to consciously plan and systematically move toward the all-important goal of financial security.

Typically, the four most common excuses owners use to justify delaying and eventually ignoring exit planning are as follows:

1. The business isn’t worth enough to meet my financial needs. When it is, I’ll think about leaving.

2. I will be required to work for a new owner for years.

3. I don’t need to plan. When the business is ready, a buyer will find me.

4. This business is my life! I can’t imagine my life without it!

If these are very real excuses, what can be done to over come them - in order to maximise the ROI on exit?

They say "Necessity Is Mother Of Invention".
These crises (both the medical & economic) will impose enforced and prolonged necessities on society.

Our leaders and people of influence (e.g media) are proclaiming that as we're all in this together - that we therefore ought to cooperate.

Those facts and opinions I respect the most - come from those who have the courage and honesty to acknowledge that regardless of whatever well-thought out response our government (or that of U.K or USA) takes -it will have an impact on people's lives and health.

Hence it's during a crisis that we need those (who are promoting our type of prolonged, enforced wide-ranging lockdowns) - E.g our politicians, media and influencers - to be honest (e.g transparent about their True agendas).

Hence it's only reasonable and intellectually honest to publicly challenge any dubious (esp' ideologically driven or fear and prejudicial based) justifications for any such lockdown.

This enforced necessity is now a great time for invention.

Hence why not look at the the seeds (produced by these crises) and how to wisely plant them to ensure greater & longer lasting benefit.

I.e This is the perfect opportunity) to be inventive and make businesses, families and society better off in the long run.

Strange (but good in many ways) - that it takes a crisis, struggle or a low-point in people's lives (or that of the wider society) - to reawaken their souls and reconnect with the Truth.

Others around us will be tempted to panic & cowardly surrender to the darkness of lies, deceit and chaos (that is stirred up by the noise and heat).

So may we all unite under the banner of the Truth's light and hope - which eternally shields us from any darkness and despair.

What the great C.S Lewis had to say in "Present Concerns (1948), can be wisely applied to the Coronavirus pandemic. "Believe me, dear sir or madam, you and all whom you love were already sentenced to death before the atomic bomb was invented: and quite a high percentage of us were going to die in unpleasant ways. We had, indeed, one very great advantage over our ancestors—anesthetics; but we have that still. It is perfectly ridiculous to go about whimpering and drawing long faces because the scientists have added one more chance of painful and premature death to a world which already bristled with such chances and in which death itself was not a chance at all, but a certainty.
This is the first point to be made: and the first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things—praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (a microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds."

Just want to give a big thumbs up to the brave and nonjudgmental counselors at Rachel's Vineyard Catholic ministry whose unconditional love and care helps grieving post-abortion mothers to heal and reconcile. If you can send me a donation receipt - I'll match any donation $ for $ (until my $300 budget is drawn on).
