Colour isn’t just something we see - it’s energy, frequency, and a powerful way to shift how we feel. Here are some of my favourite (and sometimes surprising!) ways to bring colour into everyday life for both adults and kids:
✨ Clothing with Intention – wear blue for calm on busy days, yellow to spark focus and motivation, or pink for self-love. Kids love choosing their own “colour of the day” to support emotions.
✨ Eat the Rainbow – colourful fruits and veggies nourish different organs and energy centres (greens for cleansing, oranges for creativity, purples for brain health).
✨ Breathwork with Colour – visualise breathing in a colour you need (gold for strength, turquoise for freedom, blue for better communication), and exhaling grey or heavy shades you’re ready to release.
✨ Mindful Art & Play – colouring, painting, or collaging with coloures and texture is a gentle way to express emotions. Invite children to “draw their feelings” using colours instead of words, even themselves or their family and notice the colours.
✨ Colour in Nature – soak in the greens of trees, the blues of the sky, or the vibrant blossoms of spring. Nature’s colour palette restores balance just by being with it.
Colour is a language your body and soul already understand. The more you invite it into your world, the more you’ll notice subtle (and sometimes powerful) shifts in mood, energy, and wellbeing — for both you and your little ones.
And if you’d like to go deeper, learning how to create a colour balance for wellbeing, why not join me for my upcoming Soul Power Foundation Course (27–28 September in Queenstown)?
You’ll discover how to use Colour Kinesiology to bring harmony, clarity, and inspiration into your life.
