Stoked I finally got my A into G to get this beautiful street sign up so that it makes me a bit more findable in these wonky built for a horse and cart Lyttelton streets 😆

Ngā mihi te aroha for making my sign and to for the design!

Remember peeps, the driveway right next to this sign is a designated parking spot just for my clients! A rare privilege in this neighbourhood.

See you here soon ✨🫶🏽❤️

When you come for your first massage with me we have a little korero first. I don’t put you on my table until we have a brief chat about your health history and how you’re feeling in your tinana (body). As we chat I pick up on nuances, I can make a pretty clear treatment plan for the results you’re aiming for in those first few minutes of having you in my space. Your energy introduces itself as profoundly as your words do to me. I listen and I receive.

I ask a lot of questions, please expect to be if you’re going for a treatment anywhere by a practitioner who wants to genuinely help you feel positive changes. But my favourite question that I ask everyone is..

“How do you want to feel tomorrow?”

I called my business Te Ihi. Ihi is said to be the connection between te taha tīnana ( physical being) and te taha wairua (spiritual realm), the potential and the realisation of potential.

That feeling that you’re chasing becomes more tangible when you speak it into existence. It also becomes the intention we work with once you’re on my table. This is one of many facets of how I do my work that I wanted to share with you. But ask yourself this question and ask it often….

how DO I want to FEEL tomorrow?!

Things will start shifting for you, powerful questions begat powerful answers ✨✨✨

Kia Ora everyone! If you're still stuck on Chrissy prezzie ideas for a friend or family member then may I suggest you gift them the gift of a beautiful Massage treatment with me?!

I have these beautiful gift cards ready to go. DM me to arrange pick up here from my studio in Lyttelton, I am also happy to offer drop offs to locals.

Otherwise if you live afar but want to treat a loved one that lives near me you can purchase an electronic gift certificate from my website which can be emailed directly to the recipient!

l absolutely love what I do so you can trust that your gift to that special someone will be the best part of their day! Not to mention that you will be supporting a local business that loves giving back to the community also.

Keep the love flowing and your loved ones glowing. Send them my way! I look forward to making them smile.

Meri Kirihimete to you ❤️🎄🫶🏽☀️

Coming out of the first 4 months of my practice, Te Ihi Therapeutics reminds me of the 4th trimester at home with a newborn. The early days are precious and impactful. They are a loving and tireless slog of nurturing, giving, healing and growth. I willingly threw myself into the long early days of mahi completely surrendering to the process of this budding business, and my absolute passion.

I’m so grateful to have met many incredible people in such a short stretch of time whether that be in my studio space, at the Wānanga events and workshops I’ve attended or other places I’ve formed these fascinating connections. It’s hard to believe I’ve only been operating for 4 months here in Whakaraupo! It feels like so much longer.

And now I’m in my flow phase, my schedule has settled into a semi predictable routine which is such a blessing when you’re a Māmā aswell. I don’t post as often as I used to, I just haven’t felt the urge to so I’m not going to force it. I guess this post is me checking in to say thanks for being here. Come and have a session with me if you feel the pull, I love what I do and have a unique and ever evolving style in the way I do it.

Also we (my husband and I) are really into gardening and plant all kinds of things so if you’re coming over the summer you’re going to see, taste and experience some homegrown grown goods. I hope to meet you soon and to those already in my orbit, I’m so happy you’re here.

Here’s some moments from the first business trimester 🌱💫❤️

This morning I pulled up my booking schedule for the months ahead, I was stoked see I’m looking steady all the way up to Christmas, some weeks there are only a few slots available and others are half booked or mostly open. I’m pretty happy in this flow.

In the just over one month that I’ve been open I’ve met and treated such a vast assortment of people, and am grateful to say that most have rebooked weekly, fortnightly or monthly appointments for the foreseeable future!

~”When your natural talents and passion (your varna) connect with what the universe needs (serva) and become your purpose, you are living in your dharma.

When you spend your time and energy living in your dharma, you have the satisfaction of using your best abilities and doing something that matters to the world. Living in your dharma is a certain route to fulfillment"~

That’s my favourite passage from the book “Think like a monk” by Jay Shetty, I think about this often. I ask myself every so often, am I living in my dharma? For the first time in a long time I can say yes again. Outside of loving my whānau and having my place there, I am back doing what I love and I don’t want to be doing anything else.

Kia Ora,

A little reminder to please reschedule your appointment if you are unwell or feeling like you’re about to come down with something.

I am more than happy to reaccommodate you at a time when you are non contagious for the protection of clients scheduled to come into the space after you and also for my own wellbeing.

Please stay home and rest. I will also do the same to ensure we’re not spreading bugs during flu season.

I understand you will be looking forward to a treatment, especially when you are feeling under the weather, however therapeutic massage can amplify symptoms making you feel much worse.

Ngā mihi nui koutou to all of my clients that have given me the curtesy of doing this over the past few weeks 🙏🏾✨
