Turuki Health Care Trust (Turuki) has delivered health, well-being and social services for more than 20 years. Turuki is a kaupapa Māori charitable trust base in Mangere and Panmure. Our highly experienced core team of around 100 staff, joined by specialist contractors, specialise in delivering a wide variety of intersectoral services to whānau with multiple and high needs in the Counties Manukau and Central Auckland geographic areas.
Turuki is part of Kotahitanga Whanau Ora Collective. The Collective is the umbrella Organisation for three providers who have an extensive South Auckland network. The other two-member providers are Papakura Marae and Te Kaha o te Rangatahi. Turuki’ GP services are funded by ProCare.
Although the service approach has broadened the emphasis of caring for women remains one of our most vital concerns. We hold strong to the original kaupapa which stated:
He wahine, he whenua, ka ora ai te iwi
It is through women and land that people survive
Today we continue to accept the responsibility to inspire women in good health. In doing so, we ensure the good health of coming generations.
