What does the programme involve for each licence?
Learner Licence
If you are working towards your Learner Licence, the programme includes:
• An information session to introduce the programme and confirm your registration
• A 3-day (Usually 3 hours each evening) Learner Licence course where trainers break down the
Road Code in an easy-to-understand way
• Plenty of practice tests to help you prepare
• On the final day, the team will book and pay for your Learner Licence test
You will need to bring valid ID to the session.
• Valid Passport or Birth certificate
• Proof of Address (Bank statement or IRD letter)
Restricted Licence
If you are working towards your Restricted Licence, you must already:
• Be 16 ½ years old
• Hold a Learner Licence for at least 6 months
• Have sufficient driving experience (around 120 hours of driving practice)
The programme includes:
• A one-on-one driving assessment with a certified driving instructor
• Feedback and tips to help you prepare for the practical driving test
• If you are ready, the team will book and pay for your Restricted Licence test
You will use the instructor’s car for both the assessment and the test.
Full Licence
If you are working towards your Full Licence, the programme is similar to the Restricted licence process.
You must:
• Be 18 years old
• Hold a Restricited Licence for a minimum time:
o Drivers under 25 years old: 18 months
o Drivers over 25 years old: 6 months
• Be eligible to sit the Full Licence test
The programme includes:
• A driving assessment with a certified instructor
• Guidance on what to expect in the Full Licence practical test
• If you are ready, the team will book and pay for your test
Again, you can use the instructor’s car for the test.
