This week theme is twists.
Spinal flexibility commonly deteriorates with age and benefits from regular exercise.
Although the twisting action originates in the spine, the movements involve the abdominal organs as well. The more intense the twisting, the more the abdominal organs are compressed, bringing better tone and increased blood supply to these organs.
I am a qualified Iyengar Yoga instructor with many years of teaching experience and teach Yoga on a Tuesday 6-7pm and Friday 9.15-10.30am at the Mapua Hall.
