E ngā ringaringa, e ngā waewae o te ao rongoā i Te Matau a Māui Taranga a Tikitiki, tēnā koutou katoa.
On behalf of Te Kāhui Rongoā, specifically, te rohe nei a Te Matau a Māui Tikitiki a Taranga, this is our first rohe pānui of 2026. Thank you to everyone that has registered attendance.
Please find attached Presentation 1 of 3, which introduces The Standards for Traditional Māori Healing (1999). We invite you to take some time to view this 6 minute presentation and share your whakaaro through the feedback form here. Your insights are important as we move towards collectively reviewing these standards.
We are also pleased to confirm that we intend to review these standards in wānanga on 24 -26 April at Waimārama marae, and warmly invite you to attend and contribute your voice.

For those who are waewae tapu, the pōwhiri will take place at 4:30pm on 24 April 2026. Please ensure you arrive early and prepared for pōwhiri.
As we move closer to our first wānanga on 24 - 26 April, I will send another email to people that that have registered to attend with an agenda, a map to Waimārama marae, weather updates, and any other important information to ensure you settle into our wānanga.
Additionally, if you know of any members of Te Kāhui Rongoā who may not have received this pānui, please reply to this email with their details so that I can update our records and ensure they remain connected.
Lastly, if you know someone who would like to contribute to this kaupapa but is not yet a member, please invite them to register as a member here, then have them reply to this email so that I can ensure we are connected with future communications.
