Do you know a young person between ages 5 and 24 years who would benefit from mental health support that’s very different from traditional talk therapy in an office? We offer Equine Assisted Therapy which incorporates horses into the therapy process. Using horses as the main intervention is an internationally recognised form of professional counselling that helps clients of all ages address behavioural, emotional and relational issues.
Kids can engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse while being supervised by the Equine-N-Mind team, horse specialist Lorrin Koronui and clinical psychologist Anne Harvey.
Anne and Lorrin are offering the sessions through "I AM HOPE." To make contact with us, go to "find a counsellor" at www.iamhope.org.nz and enter Woodville in your location search
If you want to find out more go to Equine-n-Mind page. www.facebook.com/EquineNMind
Two sessions are full funded by I AM HOPE, with the possibility of two more sessions, depending on the young persons need and outcome.
Help kiwi kids get free mental health counselling and support when they urgently need it with I Am Hope. Gumboot Up, New Zealand!
