🍦🎶 The ice cream truck is here! 🎶🍦

What a BEAUTIFUL hot day at Wairarapa Village for a visit from the one and only Mrs Kool!
☀️ And just like that… we were all kids again.

That familiar jingle drifting through the air, the excitement of choosing your favourite flavour, trying to eat it faster than it could melt — and of course the classic ice cream drip down your hand! 😄🍦

There were big smiles, happy chatter, colourful sprinkles, and plenty of “I remember when…” stories being shared. Childhood memories came rushing back with every lick and laugh. 💛

Sunshine, sweet treats, and smiles all round — it doesn’t get much better than that! 🌈✨

Beep beep! 🚦 What a wheel-y great morning at Wairarapa Village!

A huge thank you to Spike and Wayne from Mobility Wairarapa for rolling in with their mobility scooters and giving our residents the chance to learn, laugh, and take a spin!

They shared loads of helpful information, answered questions, and then the real fun began… test drives around the village!

There were smiles all round as residents enjoyed getting behind the handlebars, building confidence, and maybe even discovering their need for speed (don’t worry — all within the speed limit 😉).

It was a fantastic, hands-on morning filled with laughter and a great sense of adventure. Thanks again, Spike and Wayne, for bringing the fun to us!

Our Silvers Foxes Men’s Club enjoyed a fantastic outing to the Coach House Museum in Feilding — and what a journey it was!

Home to an outstanding collection of rural New Zealand heritage, the Coach House showcases over 140 years of history right in the heart of the Manawatū.
From pioneering days to stories of prosperity, the museum truly takes you on a journey through yesterday, today and tomorrow.

It was more than just a history lesson — it was a chance to cultivate friendships, grow our minds and harvest a few special memories together. Plenty of great conversations were had (and a few stories of “how things used to be” as well!).
After exploring the museum, the group enjoyed a lovely lunch together — sharing good food, plenty of laughs and great company.

These outings are always a highlight, bringing everyone together and strengthening the connections that make our Silvers Foxes such a special group.

🎳 Staff vs Residents Bowling Showdown! 🎳

What a fantastic morning here at Wairarapa Village for our annual Staff vs Residents bowling competition!

There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of fun banter, and a few very “confident” staff members who may have underestimated our residents 😉

With cheers from the sidelines, strikes celebrated like championships, and a well-earned cuppa and morning tea, it was a true community event filled with laughter and connection.

And the winners this year? 🏆
Our incredible residents took out the victory!

We love these moments that bring everyone together and show that community spirit is alive and well at Wairarapa Village 💛

🌊☀️ Riversdale Beach Adventure!

What a fantastic day out for our residents at Riversdale Beach!

Everyone enjoyed a fun and scenic buggy ride — full of fresh sea air, a few bumps, plenty of thrills, and lots of smiles.

We topped it all off with a delicious lunch and refreshing drinks at the Riversdale Store 🍔🥤
Fresh air, great food, and even better company — days like these are what it’s all about! 💙

A big thank you to Kim from AA Masterton for taking the time to visit Wairarapa Village and speak with our residents.

The session was full of helpful information about the driver’s licence renewal process, along with practical tips on products and services available to support safe driving. Residents also appreciated the range of informative brochures to take away and read at their leisure.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to keep our community informed, confident, and connected. Thank you for supporting our residents! 💛

Our Monthly Residents’ Dinner is all about making connections, sharing stories, and enjoying wonderful company over a delicious home-cooked meal and a drink or two.
From hearty favourites to sweet treats, every dish is made with care — and somehow tastes even better when shared with friends. 💛

We love seeing new friendships form, laughter echo through the room, and our community come together in such a warm and relaxed way.

🎉 Fun Day Friday – come see what village life is all about! 🎉

We started the day with some gentle exercises to get the body moving 💪, rolled into a bit of friendly indoor bowls 🎳 and finished the day the best way possible… with a delicious meal and happy hour 🍽️🥂

Lots of laughs, great company, and good times shared — this is village life at its best ❤️
