Life Pharmacy Matamata was named Life Pharmacy of the Year at the recent Unichem and Life Pharmacy conference held recently on the Gold Coast of Australia.
Pharmacy Owner Peter McSweeney said “ I am so proud of our Team and this well deserved recognition. Working in Pharmacy since Covid has been extremely challenging for a number of reasons, but our team just keeps on doing their best, so to win this prestigious award means a lot to me. They deserve it. Each and every one of them”
This is the second time the Pharmacy has won this award.

At Life Pharmacy Matamata, we are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and professional Pharmacy Technician to join our team (qualification not essential, on-site training can be provided). This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a fantastic pharmacy team with a focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
💊 Accurately dispense medications and ensure proper labelling.
💊 Prepare and process prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
💊 Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and information regarding medications, over-the-counter products, and health-related matters.
💊Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining medication supplies.
💊 Support pharmacists with patient consultations and screenings.
💊 Ensure adherence to pharmacy regulations and best practices.
💊 Maintain patient records and perform administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:
⭐️ New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification (preferred).
⭐️ Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
⭐️ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
⭐️ Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
⭐️ Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
⭐️ A team player with a positive attitude.
