👣 Let’s talk about nail surgery 👣

If you’ve been dealing with a painful ingrown toenail that keeps coming back, nail surgery might sound intimidating — but for many people, it’s actually a relief.

At Knox Podiatry, nail surgery is a minor procedure performed right here in the clinic when ongoing problems haven’t responded to conservative care. We use local anaesthetic to fully numb the toe, so while you may feel a quick sting at the start, the procedure itself is pain-free.

In most cases, we only remove the small section of nail that’s causing the issue — not the whole nail. We then treat the nail bed with a chemical to stop that problematic section from growing back, helping to provide long-term relief rather than temporary fixes.

Recovery is usually straightforward. You’ll go home straight after your appointment with an aftercare info booklet, and aside from taking it easy for the first 24–48 hours, most people are back to normal within a few days.

If an ingrown toenail is stopping you from walking comfortably, exercising, or enjoying everyday life, you don’t have to just “put up with it.”
We’re here to talk you through your options and support you every step of the way — calmly, professionally, and without judgement. Just call us on 03 478 1030 👣💙
