Come join me in embodying the upwards energy of Spring this Thursday at Souls Unite!

There is a big shift in gear moving from Winter to Spring and we can find ourselves feeling stuck and frustrated in certain areas of our body and / or life.

Using the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and exploring the wood element, particularly our relationship with anger, we will embody this energy through:

🌿 Do-In and movement

🌿 Partner work and discussion

🌿 Visualisation

🌿 We will also touch on the Wood element gifts of clarity, vision, planning, decision making and creativity.

What to bring;

🌱Please wear comfortable clothing to move in and something GREEN (the colour of the wood element)

🌱 Journal and pen

🌱 A special item that is green or that represents wood, plants or Spring for our altar

This Maya Angelou quote is a powerful reminder that anger in itself isn’t wrong — it’s a natural human response to injustice, pain, or wrongdoing.
What she warns against is bitterness, because bitterness is stagnant; it keeps us stuck in resentment and slowly harms us, not the person or situation we’re angry about. Bitterness drains energy, closes the heart, and clouds the mind.
Anger, however, can be fuel — if you channel it into action, creativity, and constructive change. You can write your truth, paint your vision, dance your feelings, join movements, vote for change, speak up, and keep the conversation alive. In doing so, your anger becomes a catalyst for healing, art, and transformation — not something that quietly eats away at you.
It’s a call to transform hurt into purpose. To not stay silent. To never let the fire die, but to use it to light the way forward.

Meet Jen… I have been seeing Jen nearly every week for Shiatsu for the past two years. She holds a particularly special place in my heart, I started seeing her not long after she had a stroke and went from an active, vibrant woman to being bed ridden and unable to walk. You can imagine the emotional journey that’s taken her on, and what one needs to come to terms with and let go of when that becomes your reality.

We both love our sessions, I go to Jen to treat her in her bed and help to relieve the tension in her limbs impacted by her stroke, moving the joints that she can’t. But our sessions go far beyond that. It feels like I’m there to connect with her on a soul level, to tend to the parts of her that are beyond the body. And in turn I get to receive her friendship and trust (and her face that lights up when I arrive).

Today I asked what her body needed and she said “I just feel inner peace when you’re here” 🥹 What a special lady, I’m so grateful to be in her world 🌸🌿🌷

I’m feeling so inspired after our Barefoot Shiatsu retreat a week ago. It’s just incredible the pressure and safety that can be felt through the use of a Shiatsu practitioner’s feet! I’ll definitely be bringing more of these techniques and this calming energy into my treatments 👣 ✨
