Reflecting on my journey into Reiki. ✨ I had always had this knowing my hands were “magic” with massage I could always sense and find peoples pain with ease and within moments of touching them. But I was sceptical about energy and energetical healing and thought maybe it was a bit too woowoo, even for me!
As I was being attuned to Reiki, I was still thinking “how is this real? What am I doing?” Yet I could feel the reiki energy flowing through my hands.
The doubt didn’t subside until I started to offer it to my clients. Until I heard their testimonies, until I felt their physical and emotional pain when I connected to their energy field. I started to truly believe in Reiki.
Then my next leap of faith was being attuned to distance Reiki. How can I possibly send energy to someone I’ve never met, or someone who I’m not in the same room as? But my teacher gave me a name and a photo and I connected to their energy and could feel water and heaviness. I could see a ship huge waves crashing and a lot of pain within their chest.
I relayed all this to my teacher, not sure what it meant. Maybe he was a fisher man or had water in his astrological chart. No it turns out he was in hospital with fluid on his lungs, slowly drowning from the inside, they were unsure of where it was coming from.
How I knew any of that blew my mind but it was purely me listening to my intuition and allowing his energy to guide me. From then I fully believed that energy can be transferred to anyone, from anywhere and with minimal information.
For most people to believe Reiki they have to experience it for themselves, even me! And honestly I was slightly skeptical until that moment with my teacher!
