Bay Feet - better feet, better health

“Hi my name is Cara Rountree and I run Bay Feet, which is a Podiatry business. I have been a Podiatrist for ten years and have gained valuable experience in both private and public settings. I trained at Queen Margaret University in Scotland and have now settled in Hawke’s Bay. My aim is to make Podiatry accessible and to improve people’s foot health”.

“Podiatry is more than you may realise, we assess your overall foot health and provide advice on the best treatments(s) available to you. Keeping your feet healthy will ultimately keep you healthy”.

“ We provide specialist foot care and assessments to manage disorders associated with the foot, ankle and lower limb. There are many medical conditions that can affect foot health for example Diabetes Mellitus which can affect the nerve and/or vascular supply. Therefore it is vital we provide thorough assessments to determine the extent of these changes and therefore determine whether a small cut to the skin has the potential to develop into something more sinister, like an ulcer.

As we age our feet can change however it is important to note that pain is not a normal part of the aging process. There are many foot conditions that affect children’s feet too for example flat feet, verrucas or ingrown toe nails. If you or your child experience any foot pain or notice any changes in your foot shape or skin condition, contact Bay Feet for an appointment.
