You carry a lot. This Mother's Day, we're creating space for you to set it down for a while.

You, First. is an intimate women's circle centered on nervous system regulation.

We'll open with an exploration of how your nervous system works and why it gets overwhelmed, giving you practical tools to carry into everyday life. From there, we'll move into a gentle yoga practice designed to support regulation, followed by a deeply restorative yoga nidra. We close with a cacao ceremony to set intention for your wellbeing.

Change happened suddenly over the last couple of weeks. It is with sadness that I said goodbye to my practice members and my team in Mt Wellington to start a new adventure.
From next week I'll be privileged to service the Napier community with the team at First to finish my internship. Looking forward to it!

Amazing research is going on at the college at the moment! Dr Jenna Duehr is a Chiropractor, Registered Nurse, holds a Masters in Health Science in 2018 - during which she investigated the effects of chiropractic adjustments on muscle strength in children with cerebral palsy, she is a Research Assistant and now Fellow at the Centre for Chiropractic Research since 2016. Her PhD explores the neurophysiological effects of chiropractic care on infants. Below is a repost from Heidi. Get in touch if you'd like to help!

My latest research participation with Dr. Michael Ho**er on AK muscle testing chiropractic technique.
The New Zealand College of Chiropractic has the biggest chiropractic research centre in the whole of the southern hemisphere. The heart of the research is advancing the profession and strengthen our understanding of the science of chiropractic that is underpinned by our philosophy. Aside from researching neurophysiological function, paediatrics, human performance and quality of life, we are also partnered with the BioDesign research Hub.

Two weeks ago I was very lucky to hear Bruce Lipton's talk again. I love his enthusiasm and energy, such an uplifting experience as always. Plus I got a hug and a picture!
