Change happened suddenly over the last couple of weeks. It is with sadness that I said goodbye to my practice members and my team in Mt Wellington to start a new adventure.
From next week I'll be privileged to service the Napier community with the team at First to finish my internship. Looking forward to it!

At the Chiropractic Centre, we take your health seriously.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive health history, postural assessment, spinal scans, hands-on examination, and neurological and orthopaedic screening tests. X-rays may be taken if clinically indicated. This thorough process gives us a clear and holistic understanding of your body, its history, and the areas where you're experiencing challenges.
Based on these findings, we create a tailored chiropractic care plan. During your second visit, we review the results with you, explain what chiropractic care involves, and discuss how it may help in your specific situation. If you're happy to proceed, we’ll begin care, helping restore clear communication between your brain and body.

Two weeks ago I was very lucky to hear Bruce Lipton's talk again. I love his enthusiasm and energy, such an uplifting experience as always. Plus I got a hug and a picture!
Bruce is a renowned stem cell biologist who shattered the once-dominant belief in genetic determinism. Bruce talks about epigenetics and how your environment and lifestyle can rewrite your genetic destiny, giving you the power to shape your own health and future!

Research studies show that improving the function of your spine can not only help your brain see what’s going on in your spine but can also help improve the way your brain can see what’s going on in your arms.

"Improved visual acuity and visual field size are benefits of chiropractic care"

Neck Pain:
The research study revealed that patients with low level neck pain were given chiropractic adjustments. After this, they were better at re-positioning their arm. Their brains were better able to see where their arm was after they were adjusted by the chiropractor.

Scientists have worked out that at any one time, over 500,000,000 people are suffering from low back pain and it is now the leading cause of disability worldwide.

For some people, lower back pain feels like just a ni**le, but for others, it can mean they can’t go for a walk with their family, lift and carry things at work, or compete in the sports they love to play.

Lower back pain causes:
One of the frustrating things for those with back pain is that doctors often don’t know what’s causing the pain, because most of the time the pain is due to a change in the way your back is moving and functioning, which changes the way your brain senses what is going on in your back. Scientists now know that the feeling of pain is something your brain decides that you should experience – if it believes you have some tissue damage.

Pain Relief:
Research studies have shown that instead of taking muscle relaxants, opioids, or other drugs, people with back pain should first consider seeing a chiropractor or another non-drug-based healthcare provider.

Lower back pain:
This is because chiropractic care can improve the way your spine functions, it can change the way your brain functions and it can have a big impact on the pain and disability you’re feeling in your back.
