Active Families WHAT DO WE OFFER? ACTIVE FAMILIES:
Active Families is all about having fun with the family. HOW DO YOU JOIN?

The Green Prescription Active Families programme is a community based healthy lifestyle initiative designed to increase physical activity in children and young people and their whanau/families. We will help families set goals around increasing activity and supporting children and their families with healthy eating choices. Home visits are also an option, as well as community-based group sessions and much more! ACTIVE FAMILIES PRE-SCHOOL:
This programme works with children and their whanau from the ages of 3-5. These children are identified at their B4 School Check or alternatively from a medical professional as needing further support to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. At home/work visits, access to low cost water activity sessions, healthy cooking classes and weekly group activity sessions are just some of the options you will have on the programme. Have a chat to your doctor about joining the Green Prescription Programme. It is vital that the information is given by your GP. We're back with exciting news that there is going to be another cooking workshop taking place next week.

We will be focusing on colour based cooking - helping you guys cook lots of colourful, healthy, delicious kai!

Were you affected by Cyclone Gabrielle or know anyone that was?

With the one year anniversary looming, over 2 million dollars of funding has been allocated to support the health and wellbeing of the Hawke’s Bay communities recovering from Cyclone Gabrielle.

Te Whatu Ora is rolling out a hauora and wellbeing comprehensive package that includes up to seven free counselling sessions, and online doctors consults.
