Good posture is the key to great movement and a better quality of life. ✨
When our body is aligned well, everything works more efficiently — we move better, breathe easier, and reduce unnecessary strain on our muscles and joints. Small changes in posture can make a big difference to how your body feels every day. 🧘‍♀️

Last week I had a really open and raw conversation with one of my Pilates clients.

The kind of conversation where you actually stop, listen, share, and connect as humans.

It made me realise how **rare that is becoming**.

So much of our communication now happens through phones, messages, and busy schedules. We’re constantly moving from one thing to the next, often without really slowing down to connect with the people around us.

There’s something really special about **face-to-face conversations**. Being present, sharing honestly, and feeling heard.

It reminded me that Pilates classes aren’t just about movement. They’re also a place where people come together, chat before class, laugh, share a little bit about life, and connect with others in the room.

In a world that’s becoming more digital and busy, those **simple human connections are really important**.

And I feel pretty grateful that Pilates can be a space where that still happens. 💛

Just a quick heads up for my Pilates Mat class people 🤍

As we come to the end of the term, our last classes will be:
✨ Wednesday – 1st April
✨ Thursday – 2nd April

Classes will start back again at the beginning of Term 2:
🌿 Wednesday – 22nd April
🌿 Thursday – 23rd April

Thank you all for showing up each week and taking time for your bodies. I love seeing the progress you’re all making!

🌟 Consistency and repetition really do work 🌟

For a while I was doing online workouts a couple of times a week. They were good workouts, but every session was completely different — different exercises and a different focus.

Recently I changed things up.

Instead of constantly changing workouts, I picked 7 exercises that target the whole body and I repeat them a couple of times each week. I’ve been doing this for the past few months.

When the exercises start to feel easy, I simply increase the weights.

There’s actually some science behind this. When you repeat the same movements, your muscles and nervous system become more efficient and coordinated, allowing you to progressively increase load. That’s when strength and muscle growth really start to happen.

The result? I’ve built muscle and I’m feeling really strong. 💪

No complicated programs.
No hour-long workouts.

Just 20 minutes, repetition, and consistency.

It actually reminds me a lot of Pilates. Pilates is built around practicing the same movement patterns over time so the body can improve strength, control, posture, and alignment.

Sometimes the simple, consistent approach is the one that works best. You should give it a try 🤩

Why movement matters ✨

Our bodies are wrapped in something called fascia — think of it like a supportive full-body suit that holds everything together and helps us move smoothly.

When we move regularly, our fascia stays springy, elastic and responsive.

But when we sit too much or become inactive, fascia can become stiff and sticky, which can make our bodies feel tight and restricted.

This is one of the many reasons I love Pilates — it keeps the body moving, stretching, strengthening and helping our fascia stay healthy.

A gentle reminder that movement really is medicine for the body. 🤍
