One of the cornerstones of our wellbeing is sleep. Not enough quality sleep can really play havoc on so many of our other body systems, such as our hormones, mental health, blood sugar and energy levels.

This time of year I always find my sleep patterns are all over the show. Going to bed late, being overstimulated by lots of social activities, and then the weather being just far too hot.

Here’s some handy tips that can help you manage sleep over the holidays so that you can feel your best and enjoy what the season brings ☀️💕

Menstruation is often referred to as the fifth vital sign and is an excellent indicator of overall health.

🌱 Regular ovulatory menstrual cycles play a bigger role in our health than we may be aware of. Aside from fertility and pregnancy, regular ovulation is important for maintaining hormonal balance, supporting bone and cardiovascular health as well as mental wellbeing.

🌱 Besides hormonal contraceptives, there are so many other options to help manage your periods, as well as restoring optimal wellbeing.

If you are concerned about the health of your period, get in touch! You can get better periods with the help of specialised and individualised support. Get the care you deserve… because you matter ❤️

I seem to be having this conversation a lot recently! So many women I see in clinic report a “low libido” and want to talk about options for management. I thought I would share some of the common themes I have been discussing and why libido isn’t always what you think it may be.

✨ Libido is so multifactorial and isn’t just about s3x. It is about how you feel in your body, your relationship, and in life.

✨ Expectations and assumptions of what are “normal” play a massive part of how we view what we “should” be doing or feeling. Comparing yourself to others, including your partners libido can be detrimental to your overall libido and can squash any desire.

✨ Hormones (especially testosterone) aren’t always to blame.

✨ Cortisol however, does play a big role in response, desire and the need to feel safe.

✨Connection is so important and it starts with the connection with yourself.

✨ Low libido isn’t your fault and you are not to blame – you are an individual that deserves to be celebrated.

Let’s keep the discussion going so that we can openly talk about rediscovering the lust for life and what that looks like for you 💛

After the week off enjoying the school holidays, it was so nice to walk back into my beautiful clinic space. I’m still obsessed with this room and how relaxed and calm it feels. It really is the perfect space to be fully present for my clients and for them to feel as comfortable as possible during our consults 😍

Today is World Contraception Day and the theme for this year is “A choice for all. Freedom to plan, power to choose”.
With 52% of all pregnancies in New Zealand being reported as unintended, we respect and uphold every woman’s right to plan a pregnancy, and the freedom to choose what contraceptive method is best suited to them. From long acting reversible contraceptives (such as an IUD or implants), to pills, condoms, and natural fertility, we are committed to giving you all the information you need to make a truly informed choice.
There are so many myths out there about contraception, how they work, their efficacy, and potential side effects. As experts in reproductive healthcare, we are here to give you the most up to date evidence based information so that you can make the best choice for you.
If you are thinking about contraception, wanting to review the contraception you are currently taking, or just want to know more, get in touch!

A whole week dedicated to women’s health. A week to share, educate, encourage and empower wāhine to have brave conversations, prioritise health and focus on preventative & proactive healthcare.
We know as women we tend to put our own needs last so let’s flip the script and collaborate together to start having those important conversations over coffee with friends, while chasing our little ones around the playground and in the lunch room at work. We all share so many similar experiences when it comes to women’s health, the only problem is we don’t talk about them enough! When was the last time you checked in on yourself, your Mum, your sister, your partner, your colleagues? Your health matters and we are here to help you!

It can be difficult to find the balance between Mum life and work life. As a team of working Mums we understand that things happen (like daycare being booked up and out of spare spots) and sometimes we are joined by the cutest of helpers!
Our newest social media/content creator apprentice Noah was on board to help us with ideas for our upcoming 14 day challenge! Fuelled by the good team at ☕️🙌🏼
