This morning we had one of our lovely community customers in the shop at Hurst and Taylor Pharmacy - George Truman. Mr Truman has long ties and connections with Hurst and Taylor Pharmacy acting as our Accountant a couple of years ago in 1968!

Mr Truman made a special mention to our staff today on how the newly renovated dispensary and shop was looking. He was very impressed with the results so far and even offered to take a snap to show progress! We're nearly at the finish line of our renovation, and it's customers that come in daily like Mr Truman that truly make us smile.

Thank you to Mr Truman and ALL of our lovely community who continue to be patient while we renovate our shop. We love seeing your faces and taking care of you. 💙

You may have noticed if you have been into Unichem Hurst and Taylor Pharmacy recently that things are looking a bit different........

We've been around a LONG time and decided that we needed a bit of a refresh! These changes are mainly to cater for effortless and faster flow in our dispensary and so that our large team of pharmacists and technicians are comfortable working.

These alterations won't take forever and we thank our lovely community who shop with us for being so patient while things are moved around a wee bit.

We are so excited to show off the end result soon! 💙

If your prescription is not urgent, give us a day or two to process it and then ring before coming in to the shop to save you some time and prevent unnecessary contact time in the shop. Hurst and Taylor Pharmacy

Hurst & Taylor has been part of the Stoke community since the 1950’s. At this time it was located where the Stoke Bakery is today, supported only one doctor, and even sold cards, magazines and toys. (And we still sell children’s gifts today!)

In 1975, the owners, George Hurst and Alan Taylor renamed the pharmacy as Hurst & Taylor Pharmacy, a name that has become synonymous with pharmacy, prescriptions and good health advice in Stoke and the wider community. The next major change for Hurst & Taylor Pharmacy came in 1997 when it moved into its current location. This is a purpose built premises complete with consultation rooms, customer toilet and access lift.

The current owners are Dave Prebble and Helen Chittenden. Dave has been involved with Hurst & Taylor for the last 29 years and Helen for well over 10 years. This long standing commitment illustrates their passion for the health and well-being of the Stoke Community. Hurst & Taylor Pharmacy has developed strong relationships with other health care professionals in Stoke, especially with Stoke Medical Centre providing integrated patient care. Today, Hurst & Taylor Pharmacy is a bustling community pharmacy providing many services. The staff are all committed to meeting the health care needs of the people of Stoke and the surrounding community.
