Kia ora e hoa
It’s been three years since I have used this account, I’ve taken a long and purposeful break from engaging with the world in this way. Sometimes you just gotta cocoon especially when things get hard. So just dipping my toes back in with a little update. I live in Whakatū Nelson now since 2023. Since then Wellpark went into liquidation and I lost my job, I’ve had a break, lots of time with animals and nature, being Aunty to my best friends kids, tried my hands at pottery, dancing, travelled a lot of the South Island with some besties. I became my grandmother’s carer and cared for before, during and after her passing. I started teaching at South Pacific College of Natural Medicine remotely and started studying again, I’ve got one semester left of my Post Grad Diploma of Health Science specialising in Māori Health through AUT then I’ll be half way into my Masters, it’s been completely awesome. I’ve done some public educational talks and really coming into a space of knowing that one on one clinical practice isn’t for me but I LOVE educating people.
It’s been a LOT!
