🌅 Rex won best daytime shot of Moke Lake in Queenstown,
🌄 Lynne won best dusk photo of Mt Arthur above the clouds, and
🌠 Carol-Anne won best night shot of Fireworks over Fifeshire Rock.

It was a close competition with our regular photographer Steve Hussey chosen to be judge.

Despite the rain, the grand opening of our spectacular new Yacht Club was a glowing success! Guests were treated to champagne, vibrant entertainment, and a night full of warmth, laughter, and celebration.

From silver-winged performers to beautifully lit spaces and nautical flair, every detail of the evening shone. Residents and guests mingled and made memories in a setting designed for both elegance and comfort.

Residents at Coastal View were treated to an informative talk from Volker Kuntzsch, CEO of the Cawthron Institute. He shared with us the history of the local science institute – from its beginnings in Nelson in 1919 to what science the 300 scientists are working on today.

Cawthron Institute is New Zealand’s largest independent science organisation, delivering world-class science that helps to protect the environment and support the sustainable development of primary industries in New Zealand and worldwide.
