Super Wolf Moon Rises Over New Zealand 🌕

Look to the night sky this week as the Super Wolf Moon lights up New Zealand in a stunning celestial display. Rising in early January, this full moon marks the first of the year and appears larger and brighter than usual because it occurs close to the Moon’s perigee — its nearest point to Earth.

The name “Wolf Moon” dates back centuries, linked to the deep winter months of the Northern Hemisphere when wolves were often heard howling outside villages. While January is summer in Aotearoa, the magic remains the same. As the Moon climbs above the horizon, its golden glow transforms coastlines, mountains, and city skylines alike.

Today is the day 🎄

Yesterday is a memory.
You can’t go back and change the words you spoke, the chances you missed, or the fears that held you back. It exists only to teach, not to trap you.

Tomorrow is a promise, not a guarantee.
It arrives only if today is honored. Waiting for the “right time” often becomes the quietest way we postpone our lives.

Today is the only day that listens.
Today is where healing begins.
Today is where courage shows up, even with shaky hands.
Today is where small choices quietly shape a powerful future.

So love deeply, even if it makes you vulnerable.
Believe boldly, even when doubt whispers.
Act bravely, even if the steps feel imperfect.
And truly live, not someday, not when conditions are perfect—but now.

Life doesn’t change in leaps.
It changes the moment you decide to be fully present in this one day you actually own.

Some great mindfulness for this holiday season and 2026 💗

THINGS TO PRACTICE IN 2026..

✨ 1. Let it go
When someone triggers you, pause and let it go. Triggers are not punishments — they are mirrors. They gently show you where healing is still needed. Release the need to react. Peace grows in non-reaction.

🍃 2. Accept what is
Wishing reality were different only creates resistance and suffering. Acceptance is not giving up — it is grounding yourself in truth. Start where you are. Use what you have. Move forward from reality, not fantasy.

🤍 3. Let them
If they want to leave, let them.
If they want to misunderstand you, let them.
If they want to be unhappy, let them.
Everyone is on their own journey. You don’t need to manage other people’s lessons.

⏳ 4. Trust in timing
What is meant for you will arrive when you are ready — not when you are anxious. Delays are not denials. Life unfolds with intelligence. Trust the process, even when you don’t see the full picture.

🌟 5. Look for glimmers
Glimmers are the opposite of triggers. They are small moments of safety, joy, beauty, or calm — a smile, a quiet breath, sunlight, laughter. Train your mind to notice them. What you notice, grows.

🌱 2026 isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about releasing what no longer serves you and living with more awareness, trust, and gentleness.

Practice these daily — and watch your life soften.

A wonderful group of women joined the weekend yoga retreat Kimi Ora Eco Resort. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a beautiful time together, with laughter, stillness and everything in between.
