Duck Bunny Theatre

Duck Bunny Theatre Watch. Laugh. Think. For those who love theatre fresh and lippy.

DuckBunny uses humour to satirically comment on everything from the absurdity of contemporary society to stupidity, greed and corruption. Inspired by living in Australia, a country where everything wants to kill you, and after surviving four years in the land of ferocious koalas, venomous snakes, rabid kangaroos, and great white sharks climbing eucalyptus trees in broad daylight waiting to pounce; Alister has brought his company DuckBunny and his love of theatre with teeth back across the ditch to Nelson, New Zealand.

ANNOUNCING OUR 2021 CCTA PLAYWRIGHTS!
Alister Emerson (New Zealand)
“The Green New Deal isn’t rocket surgery. It makes sense on so many levels; addressing climate change as well as social injustice and provides a map or a way forward. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex describes the resolution as a moral compass or a North Star and we would be well served to reorientate our efforts to mobilise our economy around the needs of the planet rather than the pockets of corporations and the mega-rich.”
