Some journeys end where new ones begin. Tomorrow night we stand ringside for our brother last dance in the ring.

A man known to many in Nelson as a fighter, a leader, a familiar face in our community. To us, he’s whānau. A day one who backed our vision when this kaupapa was just an idea.

He’s carried heart, courage, and loyalty both inside and outside the ropes, and we’re honoured to have created something small to mark his legacy.

The gloves may come off, but his story is far from finished. Here’s to the next chapter, brother Nelson will always remember, and we can’t wait to see what you build next 🥊❤️

Brother Shane 💔 my brother in Christ, there are no words that can carry the weight of my heart right now. We just spoke four days ago. I hoped, I prayed for you, we even planned to see each other this week while you were back 🥹 . You have accomplished so much with your time on earth many know you for the incredible rugby career you had, but I know you for your heart, your humility, your passion for people, and your purpose.

I now cherish our time together. I will continue with our mission and carry your essence through it all. You were a blessing to us thank you for your deep thoughts, for the legacy you’ve left behind. I know I’ll see you again. God knew your heart. For now, may you rest in His peace and love.

Now you are in paradise with your beautiful furry son Raj I love and will miss you both deeply.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

God bless my brother, with love ❤️
Please check on your loved ones x

Hey Family, I wanted to share something special we did with Scott’s Construction in Nelson and I think it says a lot about who they are as a company.

They invited us in for their company mental health breakfast, where I had the honour of holding space and sharing my story. We stripped back the layers, talked values and purpose, and worked to leave everyone with practical, empowering tools to remember who they are and why they do what they do.

For me, this kaupapa is deeply personal. I lost my dad and my brother to su***de. Those losses taught me that words matter. That connection truly saves lives.

That’s why we started Hope Is My Homeboy. To remind people: You are enough, just as you are.

I also had the privilege of presenting the team with our collab. Every site worker received a custom hi-viz vest with “You Are Enough” bold on the back. Office staff got black tees with hi-viz print.

This collab isn’t just workwear. And this kaupapa isn’t just clothing. It’s about connection and purpose. About making space for the conversations that actually matter.

Forever grateful and Blessed to be doing what I do 🥹❤️

Thank you. Truly 🥹🖤

Every time you choose to order from us, you’re choosing more than clothing. You’re choosing to carry a message of hope, to help us do things with intention, and to remind someone out there that they matter.

Our pre-orders mean nothing is wasted. Each piece is made just for you. It takes a little longer, but we believe it’s worth it.

We’ll be sending out all orders by next Friday 18th at the latest. Thank you for your patience, your belief in this kaupapa, and for standing with us.

Your support helps keep these conversations alive. We don’t take that lightly.

We’re grateful for every single one of you 🙏🏽🫶🏾

Tonight, I had the chance to sit down with New Zealand’s first-ever Minister for Mental Health. Politics aside, it felt important to see this role exist—to see mental health getting attention at that level. Representing Hope is My Homeboy and BrainHug Charitable Trust, I felt hopeful that real change could be on the way. Here’s to keeping things honest, making mental health part of the everyday conversation, and pushing for a future where everyone has the support they need ❤️

”There are still many causes worth sacrificing for, so much history yet to be made.”
