At Access Mobility, your safety is our top priority. Here are some essential tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience with your mobility scooter:

Regular Maintenance
• Check tyres for wear and proper inflation
• Test your brakes and lights regularly.
• Keep your battery fully charged.
• Yearly service check – including your battery charger

Know the Rules of the Road
• Stick to the footpath or designated pathways where possible.
• Observe traffic signals and pedestrian crossings.
• Avoid busy roads unless necessary.
• Stay on the left side of shared paths and pass on the right.

Drive Responsibly
• Keep your speed moderate, especially in crowded areas.
• Always drive responsibly and be mindful of pedestrians and other path users.
• Slow down when turning or on uneven surfaces.
• Always use your horn or bell to alert others when needed.

Be Visible
• Use lights and reflectors, especially at night and consider having a safety flag on your scooter or power chair.
