I started my Yoga journey when i was about 15 years old. Yoga has been a main constant practice in my life. It has personally helped me over the years and i am very passionate about sharing the benefits of this amazing practice.
Late 2014 i started my first yoga teacher training course which i completed at the end of 2015 through Santosha Yoga Institute. I teach Hatha yoga that draws from the krishnamarcharya linage (also known as Viniyoga). To teach to the individual, making yoga accessible to all beings. My Yoga classes are suitable for all levels and poses can be modified to suit the person.
I also teach Yin Yoga, a different approach to yoga, a more passive and slower practice where most of the poses are floor based. We hold the poses for a longer period of time targeting the connective tissue ( fascia). I studied Yin Yoga through Shanti Atma Yoga in Dunedin.
The benefits of Yoga include increasing energy levels, boosting the immune system, enhancing mindfulness, strengthens and tones the body, increases flexibility and range of motion, reduces stress and enhances calmness and relaxation. The list goes on. I am passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga to others as well as sharing the knowledge of Belly Dance.
