The distance between these two smiles is 5km, a bit of leg moving and a lot of breath. 🏃‍♀️✨ , the weekend Park Run.

I’ll be the first to admit: I find running hard. The first photo captures the "apprehensive curiosity" I often feel at the start line. The internal dialogue is busy, the rhythm hasn't quite settled, and the effort feels heavy.

This is exactly where we practice what we preach at Wave Wellness.

When the path gets tough, I come back to my breath and my focused gaze, my drishti. When my mind starts to wander or worry, I find my stability, my internal lighthouse that stays steady even when my heart rate builds.

The second photo isn't just about finishing; it’s about the satisfaction of staying true to intention. We don’t do it because it’s easy; we do it to assure to ourselves that we can remain calm in the face of challenge. We can move through the challenge and come out the other side with a glow.

Whether you’re at the start line ready or rolling out your mat, remember: the glow always follows the doing.

Lifting your gaze ✈️☁️
Yesterday’s formation over New Brighton was a fleeting but powerful reminder. Even in a busy week, there is a path of precision and a place of stillness to be found.

Watching the formation split reminds us that we can choose our own trajectory. We don’t have to be swept up in the 'choppy waters' of a new week; we can be the observers - like the seagull in the last image, steady and grounded - even when the world moves fast around us.

Find your centre, breathe, and observe the shift from a place of steadiness. 🌊

See your treasure today. Look for the beauty around you and within you.

I don’t stumble upon Neptune’s Necklace very often. A few days ago, in the morning, in the first light of the sun, these bronze beads were waiting right there on the shoreline.

It got me thinking about how often we walk right past the "treasures" in our own lives because we’re looking for something bigger, louder, or more dramatic.

Notice in your life, the connected beads of treasure. A quiet cup of coffee. A greeting in the street. A moment of deep breath. The way the light hits the water.

They are the strands that hold us together when the tide feels heavy.

From source to sea - the downhill current.
This week, we’ve been exploring the journey from the mountains to the sea.

We often think of the mountains as a place for the "climb" - for effort and reaching the summit. But sitting here by the river in Arthur’s Pas, I’m reminded of a different kind of power.

The water doesn’t struggle to find the ocean. It flows with ease around obstacles, there’s a natural flow.

In our Submerge & Settle Yin Yoga practice last night, we channelled this "downhill" energy. We practiced the art of yielding - trusting that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stop swimming against the tide and let the current carry us exactly where we need to be.

As you head into the weekend, may you find a moment to let reality be reality.

A moment of pure gratitude. Last night marked my last class with a longstanding and special client at the Core Pilates and Mind studio.

Opening this card felt like a gentle reminder of why I do what I do.

In our sessions, we sometimes talk about the "source" - the place where movement begins. The most rewarding part of this journey isn't the movements and the poses; it’s the ripples of connection that happen along the way. To be trusted with someone’s movement practice is a gift I never take for granted.

As I prepare to fully submerge into the next chapter with Wave Wellness, I’m carrying these words and this energy with me.
