How do you know if you are suffering from
alcoholism?

You don’t have to wake up and drink at 7:00 am to qualify yourself as an alcoholic.

You may just be having 2 drinks a week or a couple of beers each night.

However, in my experience the key ingredient to identify if this is a problem for you is to review why you are doing it?

The simple act of having a beer to relax is an emotional dependence on a substance.

Our society is so f**kin stressed out that we have lost touch with the simple art of relaxation and rest unless it is attached to a substance or external stimuli.

A very good way that you reconnect with a relaxation process is to lie down on your lounge floor. No carpet necessary.

Lie down for 5 mins and just breath.

Slowly observe you body release and unwind. Take note of points of tension, then challenge yourself to let them go.

Go for longer if you’re called too.

Yesterday I thought was gonna crack.

Nearly drink again.

Sober day 1413

I felt so f**ked off. All I wanted to do was escape from my emotions with alcohol. I wanted to hurt other people by hurting myself.

That old siren song called out to me.

I believe the only thing that kept me clean yesterday was the fact that every single f**king day I write down this sentence:

“I Stone James am sober for life”.
I have written this down literally 1000s of times.

This discipline has built a fortress on my mind that keeps me safe when the demons taunts and tempts me.

Sobriety is not about perfection but you must condition your mind for sobriety.

The only way way to overcome decades long habits of substance abuse,dependence and addiction is to consciously REPROGRAM your mind.

You must make a choice.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to direct your mind with written messages everyday.

Why is food one of the biggest challenges for so many of us?

Because the food industry (like many others) is driven by profit, not health.

Mega corporations grind down food into powder , reconstitute it with other powders and extracts to create hyper palatable compounds called “food” ( sweet, salty and fatty which the body wants more and more of)

Then that “food” is marketed as “essential” to life. Through food pyramids, sold out research, programs, movies, magazines, social media, influencers, colorful packets, eye level placement in food stores etc.

After going through a massive awakening and getting sober and clean; food awareness and choices is the natural next stage of awakening.

Breaking free from old programming. Reprogramming the mind with new patterns, knowledge and awareness.

A very quick tip: If it’s wrapped in plastic it’s probably not food.

Ovbsiously there are exceptions to a rule like that eg a bag of rice, a bag of frozen prawns, piece of steak.

So to further help you, if it’s wrapped in plastic you definitely need to read the packet to find out if you are buying real food or manipulated compounds….
