Dolphin Clinic Aromatherapy Castor Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the castor plant (Ricinus communis). It is also Organic and Hexane free.

Castor oil is a versatile and natural remedy with a wide range of benefits and uses:

Skin Moisturizer: Castor oil is deeply hydrating and can be used to moisturize dry skin, leaving it soft and supple.
Hair Care: It nourishes the scalp and hair follicles, promoting healthy hair growth and preventing hair loss. It can also be used to condition and strengthen hair strands.
Anti-inflammatory Properties: Due to its ricinoleic acid content, castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin.
Wound Healing: It has been traditionally used to promote wound healing and reduce the appearance of scars.
Joint Pain Relief: When applied topically, castor oil may help alleviate joint pain and stiffness, making it beneficial for conditions like arthritis.
Anti-fungal and Antibacterial: It has antimicrobial properties that can help combat fungal infections like athlete's foot and bacterial infections on the skin.
Eyelash and Eyebrow Growth: Some people use castor oil to promote the growth of eyelashes and eyebrows due to its nourishing properties.
Inducing Labor: In traditional medicine, castor oil has been used to induce labour in pregnant women, although this should only be done under medical supervision.
Natural Makeup Remover: It can effectively remove makeup without drying out the skin, making it a gentle and natural alternative to commercial makeup removers.
When using castor oil, it's essential to choose a high-quality, cold-pressed product to ensure maximum benefits. It's also recommended to perform a patch test before using it extensively, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

Some ways to use Castor Oil are,

Detox: Use in a massage blend to help with a liver detox (add 10 drops of “Toxin Cleaner” essential oil blend to 10mls castor oil and 10mls almond oil for maximum effect). Or soak a piece of cloth with castor oil, place it on your abdomen, cover it with a towel and wheat bag and rest, if possible, for 1-2 hours. Repeat 1-3 times a week for 2-3 months.
Joint Pain or Strains: Blend with “Muscle Soother” essential oil blend (10 drops essential oil into 10mls castor oil, 10mls almond oil or arnica) and rub onto affected area.
Digestion: Rub around the abdomen in a clockwise motion, and/or soak a cloth as above.
