Paul Norton Fitness . With over 5000 hour's of 1-1 coaching i have a lot of experience in the fitness field. I don't claim to know everything and we are always learning.

When we start any fitness goal it is always that starting point that we struggle with. My aim is to make the fitness industry simple and educate people as best i can. Fitness should be viewed as a fun hobbies that shouldn't involve giving up the good treats in life, but so many people fear fitness and think that making change involves 8 hours a day in the gym and eating chicken and lettuce for lif

e, WELL ITS NOT. You can lose weight by eating chocolate everyday,(don't very healthy) but it about small changes over a longer period. We need to learn the basics and evolve and improve along the way. I have created a online platform to share information to my clients but also help as many people as i can. Everyone has a different way of doing things but what has worked for me and the clients i have trained is accountability and having the basics set right from the start.

I’ve not really shared this, and it’s very much out of line comfort zone.

Having lost over 35kg with my own journey, I know what it’s feels like to wake up every single and not love what you see in the mirror

I battled for years doing the yo yo diets and doing the latest fads and restrictive trends

Years of telling myself I couldn’t have ice cream or almonds croissants…..

I had this idea that health and fitness was all about how you looked and being super lean….

But having lost both my parents who were young and watching them struggle with their health and fitness for years…

If come to realise health and fitness goes beyond a number on the scales

I’ve lost over 35kg without having to give up almond croissants or ice-cream, and the secret has been to focus on health and not the scales nor a number

I started building better habits around my nutrition, eating food for heath and energy instead of a “ weight loss goal, or a scale number..

I started to to exercise for my mental health and used it as a self care mechanism, I done stuff I like and it became a part of my lifestyle, rather than a chore

I stopped chasing numbers on the scales and stated started a better lifestyle instead

One that has helped me build better, more sustainable habits around my nutrition, exercise and sleep routine

And as a result I’ve lost over 35kg and got into the best shape of my life, physically but also mentally…..

I don’t believe in restrictive diets or giving up the foods you love

Health and fitness is not about a number on scales, and it doesn’t dictate your happiness

I’ve come to realise that health and fitness is about living a happy and healthy fulfilled life

One that has you waking up full of energy without feeling self conscious in your own skin

Things I’ve learnt the hard way with my own struggles and seeing both my parents struggle with their health and fitness before they passed away

The last few weeks - been nothing short of challenges not just for me, but EVERYONE….

There’s a heaviness in the air right now….

There’s a constant pressure and struggle….

People are not living, they are just existing….

You can see it in people’s faces….

Worn down, fed up, and no lust for life…..

I GET IT…..

I’m not afraid to say I’ve been feeling it, and it’s dragged me down like a nail to a magnet….

I’m not here looking for “ sympathy “ or “ attention “ as some would say….

I’m here to put awareness to something that people won’t speak about….

There this stigma going around right now….

If you want to complain or express your feelings, you are called “ negative “ with a bad outlook on life…

Sally ( sorry to the Sally’s)…..it’s raining all day, grey skies 99% of the time, you can’t buy a house, fuel is out through the roof, and you need mortgage to buy a coffee 🙈

This isn’t being negative, it’s called reality…..

Do not be afraid to feel the heavineas and speak about it….

Do not lock your emotions away….

You will burn more energy trying to suppress how you feel instead of just saying it……

I’m here to say, you are not alone 🙌

If I feel it, there’s bound to me more….

It will pass, it will get better…..

This post is out of my comfort zone

It’s been over 3 years since I took on the biggest challenge of my life

The challenge to climb the biggest mountain in the world as a tribute to my grandfather who had only a few weeks left to live at the time

He was going through the biggest challenge of his life, and for me, I wanted to push myself physically but also mentally

I decided to climb topless while carrying a 14kg backpack, the goal was to get as far as I could while listening to my body

Base camp sits at 5400 metre, I made it past 6400 metres, with temperatures hitting -17 at times

I learnt a lot about myself while up on that mountain but also about life

I learnt that our biggest asset we’ll own, is our mind and body

My grandfather passed away in February, and my dad 6 months after….

No amount of money nor the car you drive will ever substitute a healthy mind and body

In school we’re told this blueprint “ work, pay taxes, get a mortgage, get married “

Yet we’re not taught the fundamentals about basic life skills

The importance of exercise, eating nutrient dense foods, prioritising sleep and rest….

We’re in era that working 15 hours a day to pay a boat load of tax is normal, while having no time cook food so we end up eating junk food and takeaways

While exercising on a regular basis and eating nutrient dense foods, is deemed as “ obsessive and arrogant “

I’ve often had people say this about me saying “ who does he think he is!!!! He thinks he’s so great, showing off “

It’s nuts…….

I’m not saying don’t work hard in your job, I’m saying your health has to come first, without a healthy body and mind, whats the point??

Making time to look after yourself, will give your far greater returns down the line, it might even give you 10 years of extra life, something my mum and dad needed.

There’ll never be a good time to start, you’ll never have time, it’s alway going to be difficult.

It’s like everything, you have to make it work….

If that means getting up at 5am to do a workout in your living room, so be it….

It that’s getting up at 5am to make food for the day, so be it

Remember in order to change, something has to change

Let’s all take a minute and give credit to Lisa for what she’s achieved

But not just the 10kg she’s lost…

I want to talk about where she was before

Because that’s the part people don’t see

Before this, life felt heavy

She was going through menopause, her energy was low, her mood was up and down, and everything just felt that bit harder than it should

On top of that, she was dealing with the loss of a family member

So it wasn’t just physical

It was emotional

It was mental

Some days were about just getting through, not pushing forward

Looking at her before photo, you can see it

Not just in how she looked, but in how she carried herself

Flat

Tired

Fed up

And unsure where to even start

That first call, she wasn’t in a good place

The goal wasn’t “lose 10kg”

The goal was simple

Just start

Take back a bit of control

One small step at a time

And that’s exactly what she did

Week by week, things started to change

Not overnight

But steadily

Her energy improved

Her confidence grew

Her mindset shifted

Meet the amazing Lilly

When Lilly first joined, she was already doing “all the right things”… or so she thought

She was active

Swimming, cycling, going to the gym

From the outside, everything looked good

But deep down, she wasn’t happy

She didn’t feel comfortable in her own body

She didn’t understand why things weren’t changing

And that frustration was starting to build

That’s where she was at when she came across my page and decided to take a chance on the 28 day challenge

No big expectations

Just hoping something might finally click

Fast forward 8 months…

She’s down 13kg

But more importantly than that… everything has changed

Her body shape

Her strength

Her confidence

Her mindset

She’s gone from feeling unsure and frustrated…

To feeling in control, confident, and proud of herself

And what I respect most?

She hasn’t just got results

She’s kept them

Even after finishing the program

That’s always the goal
