We have some exciting news to share - our team is growing! ✨

We'd love you to meet Claire Yorkstone, our newest physiotherapist who joined us this week.

Claire graduated from the University of Otago and has spent the last six years working in busy private practice - she brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for helping people get on top of their injuries and feel their best.

She has a special interest in spinal conditions, lower limb injuries and older persons rehab and takes a really holistic approach to treatment. She's trained in Pilates, dry needling, manual therapy and even works with breathing pattern disorders using the BradCliff method.

When she's not in the clinic you'll find her running, hiking, surfing, performing with the local brass band or lost in a good book.

We are so excited to have her on board and we know you're going to love her!

Bookings with Claire are now open - https://npphysio.co.nz

Fresh juice in the clinic today 😍😍

Beetroot, carrot and ginger 🫜🥕🫚

This is a match made in recovery heaven.

1. Improved circulation

Beetroot → nitric oxide → better muscle perfusion

2. Reduced inflammation

Ginger + carrot antioxidants → lower systemic inflammation

3. Enhanced recovery

Better oxygen delivery + antioxidant support helps:
• muscle repair
• connective tissue healing.

❤️❤️❤️

At New Plymouth Physiotherapy, we also look at breathing a little differently.

Using the BradCliff Method, we assess how you’re breathing and how it may be influencing how your body feels and functions.

It’s a gentle, personalised approach that supports:
• better energy
• calmer nervous system
• improved movement and recovery

Because sometimes, small changes in how we breathe can make a big difference in how we feel.

Ever noticed how your breathing changes when life gets busy, stressful, or a bit overwhelming?

It’s something most of us don’t think about but your breathing pattern can influence how you feel day to day.

Things like:
• feeling more tired than usual
• shallow or unsettled breathing
• disrupted sleep
• feeling a bit anxious or on edge
• tension in your body
• or even feeling a little “spaced out” at times

Your body is always communicating with you.✨

Recovery isn’t about a finish line - it’s about consistent progress, learning how your body moves and building strength over time. Some days feel smooth, others don’t and that’s part of it. It’s the small things you do consistently that make the difference ⚡
