Koru Corner is the place of business for Karin Christensen Counselling and Hypnotherapy. Karin originates from Denmark and trained in Clinical Hypnosis and Reiki healing in the UK from 2006-2008, and has lived in Aotearoa New Zealand since 2009. She has run her practice as a Hypnotherapist and Healing Practitioner in New Plymouth since 2010. Karin furthermore commenced a Bachelor of Counselling degree in 2021 and now offers a discounted counselling service reflecting her status as a trainee, engaging in regular professional supervision separate to that required in her studies, to ensure safe and ethical practice. Karin consider herself first and foremost a healer, and whether done with healing words or healing hands, her objective remains the same: To empower a client to take control of their own life, their personal goals and their state of health - physical and mental. Karin approaches therapy as teamwork and feels passionately that the key to positive change lies in clients taking an active involvement in the change process, and ownership of the problem.
