We’re keeping a close eye on cyclone activity in the Pacific particularly Severe Tropical Cyclone Vaianu, which is expected to move south and transition into an Ex tropical cyclone as it tracks towards New Zealand this weekend.

At this stage it’s still a few days away and there is uncertainty in the track, and it impacts. It’s likely we will see heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday through to Monday in Taranaki.

Now is a good take to take a few simple steps while the weather is still calm.

➡️Clear gutters and drains
➡️Bring in or secure outdoors items
➡️Stay up to date with forecasts (download the MetService App and turn on Severe Weather notifications)
➡️Remove any debris or loose items from around your property. Branches and firewood can become airborne in strong winds.
➡️Move farm animals to areas that are safe from flooding and high winds.

As school holidays begin today, we’ll be adjusting our opening hours to accommodate staff holidays. We appreciate your understanding.

Our school holiday hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 9:30 to 12:30 pm and Sunday is closed.

Please note we’re closed from 1:00 to 1:30 pm for lunch.

We are taking a break this Easter long weekend - so the Pharmacy will be closed the whole weekend from Good Friday the 4th through to Easter Monday the 6th - this does INCLUDE Saturday, the 5th....

Please ensure you have collected your prescriptions or blister packs before the end of Thursday the 3rd. All regular Friday deliveries will be sent out on Thursday instead.

It's a long weekend this coming weekend, and the Pharmacy will be closed Monday, the 9th of March. Please ensure you have collected your prescriptions or blister packs before the end of the week or call us, and we'll add you to Friday's delivery run. Its Waitangi Day this coming Friday and we will be closed. John our delivery driver is heading out of town for the weekend so our delivery car will be on the road Wednesday ONLY this week. All regularThursday/Friday deliveries will be sent out on Wednesday.

We will try and accommodate any ad-hoc deliveries ...

From the start of February the New Zealand Government is extending the maximum prescription length from 3 months to 12 months.

This is at the discretion of your prescriber - please discuss with them whether this is suitable for you.

We at the Pharmacy (as required by law) will still only be supplying a maximum of up to 3 months of medication at a time, and all repeats must still be collected from the same pharmacy....
