Our Pathway to Peace was a beautiful and busy month!

‘The Conversation’
Friday 28th November 7-9pm

Join us tomorrow evening for a free community event exploring the modern context of ancient wisdom.

In a world that is increasingly robotic, lead by artificial intelligence and busier than ever, how can we look to Yogic Philosophy for tools that ground us, connect us and bring greater meaning to our lives?

We haven’t done this before. Usually when you come to class your Teacher guides the room. This discussion will be lead by you and your peers, a chance for you to share and learn from each other. While we will hold the container, we look forward to learning from you and tapping into the collective wisdom that exists in the wider web of our village.

Our Reformer Room has been humming.
And these gorgeous women have everything to do with it… They are incredible teachers, each with their own authentic style, background and sense of humour. They are bringing so much variety to classes, the kind that keeps your body challenged and mind fully present. We are very blessed to have them in our whānau!♥️

Come 2026 we have some changes incoming.

When we opened the Reformer arm of REVA almost two years ago (not sure where that time went) we separated the two studios with drapery to create a sense of seamless flow and crossover between the open spaces. Since then our classes have been staggered and never run at the same time. It’s worked well until recently when we have become so busy that we no longer have space for our regulars on the machines.

In January we are undergoing some more renovations to close these spaces and separate them entirely into two fully functioning studios; the Reformer Room and Yoga Shala. We are installing double glazed sliding glass doors and acoustic panels so that we can grow our Reformer schedule and maintain our full and complete Yoga timetable.

What does this mean for you?
Early morning Reformer five days a week, more evening class options and four reformer classes on Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re a Yogi, it means no more disruption to your Savasana on weekends and a quieter changeover between classes.

After ten years and five lots of renovations this most definitely is the last one. Our whare has served us so well, but Im the first to say anymore expansions and we will either be moving into the attic or in need of a new building.

Your growth will always be proportional to your willingness to feel absolutely terrified. This phase is no exception, I’m just well used to the very fringe of my comfort zone.

Somehow, despite all the odds we are still here, still having fun and still finding ways to stretch ourselves, our team and our wonderful client base.

Meet Reyna Kintawuri♥️

Reyna hails from Indonesia, she married a kiwi and her children were both born in Japan - where she has lived for many years. We are so thrilled to have met Reyna as a student when she first moved to New Plymouth and to now have her on board as part of our growing teaching team. Reyna did her 200 hour YTT in Vinyasa Yoga and has also completed her Children’s Yoga Certification. She is passionate about sharing her love of the practice with anyone and everyone and you’ll often spot her immersed in graceful flow beside you as a student as well.

When not on a Yoga mat you’ll find Reyna out running in nature, or busy being an incredible mama to her son and daughter while her husband works as a pilot in Japan.

Reyna teaches Wednesday 5.30pm Intermediate Vinyasa and she certainly loves a strong flow. We know those of you who regularly attend that class love a challenge, so we think this pairing is a beautiful match for our midweek Yogis.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE ✨

It’s that time of year where everyone starts asking- are you open over Christmas and New Year?

So we are getting in early to answer all your questions about the holiday season!
Yes, we most certainly are open and classes are available for booking now online and in the REVA app.

There is a slight reduction in evening classes but we still have plenty of choices for you to mindfully move before before the afternoon bubbles, extra trifle helpings, summer BBQs and sunbathing at the beach with friends and family begins. It’s our absolute favourite time of year and we relish in being here to share the cheer with you.

Our Gratitude Tree will also be back in studio this week for you to share your thanks and read the reflections of your studio friends♥️ We adored this addition last year and took great care to read each and every message left on the tree, perhaps this year we will share those messages more widely for all to enjoy the love!

Please note memberships will not be automatically held over the holidays, however if you would like to freeze your membership while you are away simply drop us an email or message us through the app and let us know so we can organise that for you.

This November we are celebrating the ever evolving and beautiful community that is REVA with our ‘Pathway to Peace’.

This is a month long invitation to move, breathe and connect before the busy Summer season.

Peace is a state to be embodied through small daily choices. When you feel the inner experience of being at one, your footsteps land lighter, the tone of your voice softens and your eyes see the world differently.

During November, your call is to develop mindful rituals that resource you.
