Essence Says Goodbye

After 15 years of being self-employed—beginning as Beauté Boutique in Paeroa for five years, then transitioning into Essence in Ngatea for the past ten—it’s with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to close my clinic.

This decision hasn’t come easily. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to meet incredible people, share so many laughs, create meaningful connections, and form lifelong friendships. My goal was always to create a space where people could step in and feel the weight of the world lift off their shoulders—a space to unwind, reset, be still, and reconnect with themselves.

Helping people feel good in their own skin, watching them grow in confidence—that’s always been the heart and soul of what I do. That’s what Essence was all about.

This journey has been the most amazing adventure. I’ve learned more than I ever imagined and have been truly honoured to care for every person who walked through my door. Essence helped me find my place in Ngatea, and Ngatea helped me find the real Laura. For that, I will always be grateful.

Over the past ten years, my life has changed in countless ways—through both highs and lows. Essence has been both my anchor and my greatest challenge. It has shaped me in ways I’ll never forget.

May and June will be my final months in the clinic. My online booking system will close at the end of May, but if you’d like one last appointment, please reach out or book online while you still can.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for supporting me, for trusting me, for seeing the real me—for being part of Essence. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
