✨ August International One-Day Retreat 2025

On 24th August, DMC Auckland hosted a joyful one-day retreat at the centre. Friends from many walks of life came together and shared a truly meaningful day. 🌿💛

The programme included yoga, sitting meditation and walking meditation. Everyone also joined in beautiful Buddhist traditions — offering food to the teaching monk, lighting candles, and sharing lunch with one another. 🙏✨

Loren Eiseley describes walking along a beach where thousands of starfish have washed ashore. He sees a man (the “star thrower”) picking them up one by one and throwing them back into the sea. When Eiseley asks why he bothers, since there are too many to save, the man replies:
