Te Whānau Manihera are preparing to journey across the ocean, representing Te Tai Tokerau in Australia at the Buuluunggal Festival on Gumbaynggirr Country. This is more than a trip - it’s a powerful cultural exchange, where rangatahi will connect, perform, and visit the first local language immersion school.

The Whānau have given so much of their time and energy to uplift our communities here in the north - now it’s our turn to uplift them.

Part-Time Office / Accounts Assistant

Haruru Falls Motel & Conference Centre is looking for a reliable and organised person to assist with office administration and basic accounting duties.

Role includes:

Accounts payable and receivable

Data entry and basic bookkeeping

Bank reconciliations

General office administration

This is a part-time position (2–3 days per week).
Pay will be at minimum wage.

Previous office or accounting experience is preferred but not essential. Good attention to detail and reliability are important.

Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard
Servicing communal areas (bathrooms, kitchens, lounges)
General tidying to keep the property looking fresh and welcoming
What we’re looking for:
Reliable and punctual
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable with cleaning tasks
Previous experience helpful, but not required – training provided

Key duties include:
-Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
-Assisting with basic food preparation
-Maintaining kitchen hygiene standards
-Helping the kitchen team during busy service times
-General cleaning and restocking

What we are looking for:
-A positive attitude and strong work ethic
-Ability to work well in a team
-Good time management and reliability
-Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
-Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential

As always, Emily and Kaycee are right there, offering warm and constant support.
Although she’s not in the photo, our beautiful chef Maria spent the day preparing
🍽️ homemade lasagna, chicken curry,
and a gorgeous plum tart especially for this group.
Sorry we couldn’t capture it all on camera!

Even on a public holiday,
our team showed up with passion and heart.
So much love and gratitude for our amazing staff. 💛

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team.
This is a part-time role, 2–3 days per week, paid at the current minimum wage.
Main Duties:
Lawn mowing and edging
General garden maintenance
W**d spraying
Assisting with keeping outdoor areas tidy and presentable
What we’re looking for:
Someone reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment an advantage
This role would suit someone local who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping grounds looking their best.
