🌹: Remembrance Day - 11 November - RSA Garden of Memories

On Tuesday we remember those who gave their tomorrows for our today, and those who have served in the armed forces - on the 107th anniversary of the guns falling silent on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, at the end of World War One.

We invite the community to attend the ceremony at the RSA Garden of Memories, and be seated by 10:50am for an 11am start.

Thank you, and we welcome you to join us tomorrow.

Whitestone Funerals has a special connection with Otago artist Colin Wheeler. Colin’s ashes reside in our memorial gardens, and we are sponsors of the bi-annual Colin Wheeler Memorial Art Exhibition. Recently Colin’s son Paul made a special visit to present us with this painting. We are honoured to have some of Colin’s artwork to display in our funeral home.
