IVY WENT THROUGH EXTENSIVE CHEMO TREATMENT
We wish Ivy all the very best for her future ... such a brave girl!

𝗔 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗜𝗩𝗬 -
To all my very dearest friends at Blue Cross Veterinary Ranfurly.
I’m writing this because my humans are a bit busy crying happy tears, and my paws are finally feeling bouncy enough to do the talking.

I wanted to say a huge, waggy tail-thumping 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 for everything you have done for me. When I first came in, I didn’t feel quite like my usual self. My "zoomies" were gone, and I could tell my mum and dad and brother George The Bastard cat were really worried. But from the moment I walked through your doors, you treated me like the 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 I am.

Thank you for the big squeezy cuddles and gentle pats when I was nervous, the extra-tasty treats (I certainly noticed those!), and for being so patient with me during all those pokes and prods and medicines. I know I was there at the clinic a lot while we were fighting that yucky "lymphoma" thing, but you always made me feel safe even when I was a little bit scared.

Because of you, I’m officially in 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻! Yay!!! My tail hasn't stopped wagging. I’m back to sniffing every single blade of grass, napping in the best sunny spots, stalking rabbits, hiking in the hills and reminding my humans exactly when it’s dinner time. I have my life back, and my family has their Ivy back.

You guys are actual heroes and I love you all!
With lots of slobbery kisses and happy barks,
𝗜𝘃𝘆 🐾 ♥

𝗥𝗬𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞𝗠𝗔𝗡
𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻!
Ryan joined Waimate Veterinary Centre in December 2007 – and a busy 18 years has ensued, both as a vet and his extensive involvement with the Waimate community!

At the end of March, Ryan is going to change focus on to his AgVisory company, including the development of his DAGI app – for stock parasite control. We wish Ryan all the best and are sure he will have another successful chapter in his exceptional veterinary career.

However, we are also very pleased that Ryan is going to continue on with us in a consultancy type role – so you will still see him ‘around the kitchen table’.

To celebrate Ryan’s time with the Veterinary Centre and the wider Waimate community we invite our clients to a 𝗕𝗕𝗤 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀) 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟰𝗽𝗺.

𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗥𝗬𝗔𝗡
The big question I keep getting asked is what’s next? Firstly, I’m excited to say this isn’t the end of my association with the Veterinary Centre - I’ll still be around the building doing some consultancy work, especially with collars and strategic on-farm planning ... you just won’t see me wearing overalls and gumboots!

My main focus however will be DAGI, a phone App I’ve been developing to enable better use of grazing management to help combat triple drench resistance. We’re starting with sheep, but watch this space as we also develop some research projects to enable expansion into the cattle world.
